What are the common signs of digestive problems?

Digestive problems can show up in many ways, and it’s important to pay attention to what your body is telling you. Common signs include persistent bloating, abdominal pain or cramping, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and unexplained weight loss. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms regularly, we kindly encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our GI specialists. Early detection makes a big difference!

Your body often gives you early signals before a digestive condition becomes serious. Early warning signs include frequent indigestion, changes in bowel habits, blood in your stool, difficulty swallowing, and persistent stomach discomfort. Please don’t ignore these signs. The sooner we catch a problem, the better we can help you. Our team is always here to listen and guide you toward the right care.

Absolutely, and more than most people realize! The gut and brain are deeply connected through what is known as the gut-brain axis. Stress can trigger or worsen conditions like IBS, acid reflux, bloating, and stomach pain. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your gut health. If you feel stress is affecting your digestion, we are here to help you find the right approach to feeling better.

We use a variety of advanced diagnostic tools to get to the root of your digestive concerns. Common tests include colonoscopy, endoscopy, blood tests, stool tests, imaging scans, and breath tests for conditions like lactose intolerance or H. pylori. Our experienced team will recommend the most appropriate tests based on your specific symptoms and medical history. You are in safe and caring hands every step of the way.

We understand that stomach pain can be concerning, and we are always here for you! While occasional discomfort is common, please don’t hesitate to seek care if you experience severe or persistent abdominal pain, fever, blood in your stool, unexplained weight loss, or persistent nausea and vomiting. These symptoms should never be ignored. Please contact our office right away  your health and well-being are always our top priority!
